All of our handcrafted wood and bamboo products are finished using the Japanese method called Shou Sugi Ban. This is intended to increase the longevity of the wood or bamboo and provide a unique aesthetic to each piece. After flaming each piece we seal them with coconut wax to create a smooth all natural finish.

The Shipbuilder's Mallet is built to order, so please allow for 4-8 days processing before shipping. Also, the one pictured here will not be the one shipped to you but is an accurate representation. Each piece is unique.
