Antique miner's lamp. Old authentic french lamp.

This miner's lamp is the oldest we've ever had in our shop and is definitely a collectors' item - although you don't have to be a collector to be fascinated by this unique object.

An elderly frenchman in our village told us that his great grandfather worked in the mines in northern france and the family still have his lamp which is virtually identical to the one shown here. He authentic didn't say if the lamp - and the owner - had ever been involved in an accident but the top hook and iron upper body have certainly taken the odd knock or two.

And added bonus is that the glass cylinder was made by Baccarat which is a name synonymous with quality and was deemed to be much clearer in practical use.

A rare opportunity to acquire a piece of mining history.
