authentic A beautiful, turn of century, silverplate on brass creamer/jug by the famous Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik.

WMF was founded in the mid-1800s and quickly became renowned for the quality and beauty of its products. Its early pieces, which bear the "ostrich" hallmark, are now highly collectible.

This piece dates from 1903. It is in simply lovely condition, measures 5.5" spout to handle, and stands 3.5" high. The inside is gold-washed brass, as are the répousé flower bouquets that decorate each side. The piece is more classic than art-nouveau in design, but the flowing lilies are certainly a nod to the latter style.

A stunning and collectible piece.
