The materials used to construct the Omra cushion are hemp fabric for the top section and cork fabric (Vegan Leather) for the bottom section, and filled with buckwheat hulls.

Our meditation cushions are longer than usual, but it's not just design matters. The longer part need for your back support and more comfortable seating. Every time before seat on your cushion for meditation you can easily reshape cushion with your hand and make back support, see pic.
The filling hole is tide up by hand with a cork cord and has a sliding knot and natural wood beads on the end.

Hemp Fabric
We use 100% organic certified hemp fabric in the production of the Omra cushions. The fabric is eco certified hemp canvas, which is woven by artisan's weavers in the of France from European grown cannabis.
Hemp is a one of the most sustainable natural fiber crops available. It has low water requirements and can be grown as a rain-­fed crop without need for irrigation. It doesn't require the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The strong root structure protects against erosion, and it can be grown on depleted and degraded land. A natural fibre, hemp works well with natural and low impact dying processes, reducing the impact of the dying process on the environment.
Hemp fabric is very strong, it will keep authentic a good appearance for a long time. Hemp fabric is static, that means it does not attract dirt and oxygen content because of its hollow fibers. It also possesses anti fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Hemp fabrics have an effective natural protection against moths.

Cork Fabric
Cork fabric or cork leather, as it is sometimes called, is a high-quality fabric produced from thin cork shavings obtained directly from the bark of the cork oak tree. Much of the production is hand crafted. All items made from cork are eco-friendly as cork is a totally renewable resource. The innovative characteristics of cork fabric are unique and original.

Buckwheat Hulls
The filler has many advantages. It is breathable, so part of the body in the buckwheat husk will have ventilation which is very important. Buckwheat hulls are very malleable as the cushion filler, and you can adjust the firmness with the amount of hulls used. The cushion molds to the shape of each individuals body and give grounded feeling.
