Dishonored 2 Karnaca Overseer Mask for Costume or Cosplay - DIY Cold-Cast Brass - authentic Hand-made Resin Cast
Inspired by the Overseer character from the Dishonored 2 video game this hand-made mask.
authentic Inspired by the Overseer character from the Dishonored 2 video game, this hand-made mask is a resin copy of my original hand-sculpted version. The mask is sculpted with a high level of texture and detail. It is cold-cast using real brass powder mixed into the outer layer of resin -- this gives the luster of real metal after the surface has been polished.
WHAT MAKES IT DIY?
The mask has been trimmed, but it has NOT been painted or weathered or polished. Before polishing, it is a dull, brownish-yellow color. To get it to look like metal, you need to buff or polish it. I recommend using 0000 steel wool with a VERY LIGHT TOUCH (otherwise it can scratch the surface).
You can choose how clean or dirty you want the mask to look. To add some tarnishing and weathering, I recommend applying a light coat of dark acrylic paint to the mask BEFORE buffing, especially down in the corners and crevices. Then buff the high points with steel wool to provide a contrast between the shiny areas and the "tarnished" hard-to-reach areas.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO WEAR THE MASK:
Please note, it is sized for an average sized head, and it is a snug fit. If you have a larger head, it may not fit you.
The inside width from temple to temple is about 6 1/2 inches.
The depth from the eyes to the back is about 8 inches.
The mask does not include padding, but for the most comfortable fit you might want to add some soft foam padding.
The inside of the mask is smooth, unpainted gray resin as shown in the photos.
This mask is perfect for costuming and cosplay but is NOT intended to offer any sort of protection for airsoft or other sports.
