This is the same 100% wool tartan, woven in Scotland by the same weaver, as that used in the filming of the movie Braveheart! A very rustic tartan, woven in natural wool and earthtones believed to be authentic to that period.

The Scottish weaver that made the fabric for the movie Braveheart makes this Braveheart rustic wool tartan for us. The tartan appears and feels very rustic, because the weavers use natural wool and earth-tones. Tartan from the time period of Braveheart (circa 1297) likely shared these characteristics.
