Vintage ceramic jug by Elly & Wilhelm Kuch, made in Middle Franconia, Germany circa 1950s.

Pretty hand-made form with ribbon handle and small spout. The base in unglazed with the embossed studio mark of Elly & Wilhelm Kuch. The exterior is decorated with a brown slightly metallic, floral design. The interior is glazed brown. Light grey coloured base.

Condition:
In excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs.

Measurements:
13cm tall x 10.5cm wide including handle x 8cm deep = approx 5" x 4" x 3"

Wilhelm Kuch opened his studio in Burgthann, near Nuremberg, in 1948 and after marrying Elly in 1953 they worked together producing fine ceramics that won them awards all over Europe. Their work is known for beautiful, unique forms & glazes. authentic
